The Premier League season continued this weekend with Manchester United facing Everton in the 2026-27 season. The two sides met in Liverpool for the clash on September 6 and it ended in a 2-2 draw after Everton pulled off a last-minute equalizer to take away two points from the 20-time champions.

Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick spoke after the draw and said that the draw still feels like a defeat and that the whole side is bitterly disappointed with the result.
“We are bitterly disappointed. “Just to be up in the position we were in the game twice so close to the end and all the work that went into putting us in that position at different stages to come away like that is not a great feeling,” Carrick said after the game.
“It’s like a defeat and that’s the obvious thing to say at this stage. We’ve got a point, we can’t ignore that but it feels like we should’ve had a lot more,” he added.
Carrick praised Marcus Rashford,The head coach was very specific about star forward Marcus Rashford. “He looks like he has found his mojo again,” said Carrick. “He is a big player for them in the season.”
"He was just feeling a little something. He has done very well. Like I said during the week he's done really well since he's been back. He looks real sharp and dangerous today. “He didn’t quite finish that last moment but still he created some good chances and was a big threat throughout the game,” he added.
Manchester United are currently 10th in the table with four points from three games, having won one, lost one and drawn one of their opening three fixtures, and it will be interesting to see how they do in their next match.
