Comedian-actor Rajiv Thakur's father has passed away. The news was confirmed by comedian Krushna Abhishek in a video shared by the event management company.
For the unversed, Krushna was scheduled to perform at an event in Indore alongside Rajiv Thakur. In the video, he said that he had already reached Indore for the event when he appeared alongside the organiser. He informed the audience about Rajiv’s loss and said that the show would be rescheduled for a later date.

Krushna said he had just landed in Indore when he learnt about the unfortunate news. Rajiv was scheduled to perform with him the next day, but his father had passed away. He described the news as a sad moment for the entire comedy fraternity.
Addressing those who had booked tickets, Krushna requested them to understand the situation and confirmed that the show would be rescheduled.
The caption of the post reads, "A Heartfelt Apology. With a heavy heart, we’re truly sorry for the inconvenience caused to everyone who booked tickets for the event. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have decided to postpone the event. We will be refunding the full ticket amount to everyone who has booked their seats. We promise to come back soon with new dates and reschedule this event. Thank you for your love, support, patience and understanding. It truly means the world to us. We are sorry. We are grateful. And we’ll be back soon (sic)."

For the unversed, Rajiv Thakur started his career with Punjabi theatre before making his way into television. He rose to fame with his appearance in The Great Indian Laughter Challenge 3 and Comedy Circus. Later, he appeared in The Kapil Sharma Show, where he played various supporting roles and sketch characters, most notably Raju, alongside appearances as a police inspector, security guard, and others.
