Goa nightclub fire: Following their detention in Thailand, the first pictures of Gaurav and Saurabh Luthra appear

The first pictures of the Luthra brothers, who are being held in Thailand in relation to the Goa nightclub fire case, have surfaced. Both of the accused are seen holding their passports in the pictures.

After being arrested, the two were escorted to the airport by Thai police. Following the Goa Police's Look Out Circular (LOC) and Interpol's Blue Corner Notice, the brothers were taken into custody.

The Goa government asked the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to take action, and as a result, their passports were revoked.

According to sources, they will probably be returned to India shortly.

After a massive fire at their Goan nightclub, Birch by Romeo Lane, claimed 25 lives, the two were on the run. On December 6, the two are reported to have purchased their airline tickets to Thailand while emergency personnel were attempting to contain the fire and free trapped customers.

After requesting temporary protection from arrest at a Delhi court, they were denied relief.

Up to six people have been detained in relation to the incident thus far, including Ajay Gupta, the business partner of the Luthra brothers. Gupta was taken into custody in Delhi on Tuesday and transported to Goa the next day on a transit remand.

At the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in Arpora, North Goa, a huge fire started. The accident claimed the lives of up to twenty-five people, including five tourists and twenty employees. Fireworks may have started the fire, according to early reports.

The incident resulted in six injuries. Since many people were trapped on the ground floor, suffocation was the primary cause of death, according to a fire department official quoted by PTI. People found it difficult to get out of the club due to its small doors and narrow bridge. The fact that water tankers and fire trucks were positioned about 400 meters from the scene further slowed the rescue operations.
