The second season of SonyLIV's historical drama series Freedom at Midnight will launch on the platform on January 9, the company announced on Friday.

The new season, according to the creators, will examine the challenging months that followed, showcasing both the human stories of a nation undergoing transformation and high-level political decisions.
These were turbulent, brave, and difficult times that molded the spirit of a new country. In a statement, director Nikkhil Advani said, "With this season, we've focused not only on bringing to life the political corridors where history was written, but also on the human stories that held significance."
At Midnight S2 makers, freedom
Filmmaker Nikkhil Advani, who is back as showrunner and director, is in charge of the program, which is produced by Emmay Entertainment in collaboration with StudioNext. Abhinandan Gupta, Adwitiya Karenika Das, Gundeep Kaur, Divya Nidhi Sharma, Revant Sarabhai, and Ethan Taylor are the authors of the narrative.
