New DelhiOn Thursday, the Delhi High Court ordered social media companies to respond to a Bollywood star's complaint regarding the protection of his personality rights within three days. A comprehensive interim restraining order pertaining to other parties involved in the case will be issued, according to Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora.
In accordance with the Information and Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the high court ordered the social media intermediaries to handle the actor's lawsuit as a complaint and take the necessary action within three days.
The social media companies were mandated by the court to inform Salman Khan if they had any reservations about any of the links he supplied.

For the uninitiated, Salman Khan petitioned the high court to safeguard his personality rights and stop social media companies and e-commerce websites from using his name, pictures, persona, and likeness without permission.
The High Court has recently granted temporary relief to a number of well-known actors, including Hrithik Roshan and Ajay Devgn, filmmaker, singer Kumar Sanu, Telugu actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, and others, in order to protect their rights to publicity and personality.Actor Jr. NTR from War 2 has also petitioned the Delhi High Court on the matter, but the court has not yet issued a ruling.
