New Delhi:Asha Bhosle, a famous singer, died on Sunday at the age of 92, just one day after being taken to the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Anand Bhosle, the singer's son, said that her funeral will be held at the Shivaji Park in Mumbai, India's financial capital, at 4 p.m. on Monday.
The whole country was sad when she died, and many well-known politicians spoke out about how sad they were.The Minister of Defense said he is very sad about Bhosle's death, calling it an irreplaceable loss for the music world and sending his condolences to her family.
She sang for thousands of movies and music albums as a playback singer. For generations, Indians have listened to and hummed her songs. He said, "The echo of her sweet songs will last forever."
The Chief Minister of Maharashtra said that her death was very sad. He wrote on X that it is too hard to believe that Asha Bhosle is no longer with us. She sang more than 12,000 songs in Marathi, Hindi, Bengali, and 20 other Indian and foreign languages. She also won awards like the "Bangla Vibhushan," which is similar to the "Maharashtra Bhushan." "He said, "There will never be another singer like that, who could so easily adapt to change."
Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, also paid tribute to Bhosle and said she was very sad about his death. She called the singer a "great musical genius." She said, "Bhosle has been an inspiring and mesmerizing singer who has ruled our hearts for generations."
"She also sang a lot of Bengali songs and is very well-liked in Bengal. In 2018, we could give her the "Bangabibhushan," our highest civilian award. She said, "My deepest condolences to her family, her fraternity, and the millions of fans she had around the world."
The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh said that the legendary singer's unique voice took Indian music to new heights. He said that her sweet songs will always be in the hearts of the people of the country.
On X, he said, "I pray to Lord Shri Ram that the noble soul who has passed away finds eternal peace, and that the family and fans who are grieving find the strength to get through this."
Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma also expressed his sadness at Bhosle's death and said that it is a loss that cannot be replaced in the world of music. "Asha Bhosle was one of the best and most versatile playback singers India has ever had."He said, "Her beautiful voice, her ability to sing in many styles, and her huge and varied contribution to Indian music have left a lasting impression on music lovers in India and around the world."
Bhosle was born on September 8, 1935, in the Sangli district of Maharashtra. He went to the hospital on Saturday night. Her father, Dinanath Mangeshkar, taught her music, just like he did her older sister, Lata Mangeshkar. Her other sister Meena and her brother Hridaynath Mangeshkar write music.
