New Delhi:Asha Bhosle, a famous singer, died on Sunday (April 12) because her organs stopped working, her family and doctors said. The last rites will take place at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on Monday at 4 pm.
"My mom died today. People can pay their last respects to her at Casa Grande in Lower Parel, where she lived, at 11 am tomorrow. Anand Bhosle, her son, said, "Her last rites will be held at Shivaji Park at 4 pm tomorrow."
Bhosle's granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle, said on social media that she was taken to the Breach Candy hospital on Saturday because she had a chest infection and was very tired. "My grandmother, Asha Bhosle, has been taken to the hospital because she is very tired and has a chest infection. Treatment is still going on, and I hope everything will be fine," she said.
Asha Bhosle is no longer with us; she was a singer who could do many things.The 92-year-old had a career that lasted more than eight decades. She sang in many languages and for many actors, such as Meena Kumari, Madhubala, Zeenat Aman, Padmini, and Vyjayanthimala. Bhosle was known for being able to sing in many different languages. She recorded more than 12,000 songs.
Some of her most well-known songs are "Abhi Na Jao Chhod Kar," "In Ankhon Ki Masti," "Dil Cheez Kya Hai," "Piya Tu Ab to Aaja," "Duniya Mein Logon Ko," and "Zaara Se Jhoom Loon Main."
Bhosle, who was the younger sister of the famous singer Lata Mangeshkar, won many awards and honors during her career. These included the Dadasaheb Phalke Award and the Padma Vibhushan, which is India's second-highest civilian award. In 2011, the Guinness World Records also recognized her.

In an X post, she said that Bhosle has been an inspiring and mesmerizing singer who has ruled our hearts for generations.
"She also sang a lot of Bengali songs and is very well-known in Bengal. She said, "We could give her the Bangabibhushan, our highest civilian award, in 2018."
Ashish Shelar, a minister from Maharashtra, also paid tribute to her. He said that Bhosle's work and music brought joy to India and the whole world. "Her loved ones will be able to pay their last respects at her home in Lower Parel tomorrow from 11 am to 3 pm. At 4 p.m., her last rites will be held at the Shivaji Park crematorium. "He said, "She will be cremated with full state honors."
