San Diego:A viral video of a dancer from San Diego has raised concerns that US troops may be casually sharing sensitive information about their deployments to the Middle East while going to nightclubs near military bases. Charm Daze, an exotic dancer and stripper from San Diego with 900,000 online followers, talked about what she had seen at bars near military bases.
San Diego is home to important US military bases like Naval Base San Diego, Naval Base Coronado, and Camp Pendleton. There are also many places to go out at night nearby.
What did the stripper remember about troops who were "depressed"?Daze said in an Instagram video that she has seen a lot of young soldiers going to bars and clubs near military bases in San Diego lately. The dancer, who has a lot of fans online, said that a lot of these soldiers look "depressed" and are talking about their deployments while spending a lot of money at these places.
She said that several of them said they would be deployed as early as next week. This raised concerns about how easily people share sensitive information in public places. "Something I've noticed lately is that all the military guys are coming in and spending all their money." They're a little down. They say, "Oh yeah, we're going to have fun," but you can tell something's wrong. Daze said, "And then they say, 'We deploy next week.'"
She also said that the interactions have been emotionally hard for her because the soldiers are very young and vulnerable. "Many of them are very nice, and it's nice to see these young guys come in and dance with them." She said that seeing these young men and then saying goodbye made her feel emotional. She called the soldiers "baby-faced" and "fetuses."
Daze called the video a "observation" from working in clubs, but it has since gone viral, leading to rumors about a possible escalation in West Asia that could involve the United States.
Video goes viralThe video also got a lot of attention online, including from Marine officer and influencer Kagan Dunlap, who told troops not to share that kind of information with the public.
"PSA: Don't tell your adult entertainer you're going to war. You need to tell your family not to talk to your barber about when you're going to war. Don't tell your adult entertainer when you're leaving, where you're going, or what you're doing. He said, "They're going to post a TikTok video about it because they don't know any better."
This news comes at a time when there are reports that the Pentagon has put thousands of troops on standby for possible deployment, including members of the 82nd Airborne Division. This has led to even more speculation about rising tensions in the area.
