The much awaited film Haiwaan starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan has finally released in the screens. The action thriller which hit the big screen on September 11 has opened to a slow start at the Indian box office. Priyadarshan directs this film that brings together Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan on the silver screen after 18 years. The duo was last seen together on screen in 2008 film Tashan.
The film, on the first day, has garnered mixed reactions from the audiences who watched it. Read on to know how much it has earned so far at the Indian box office.
Haiwaan Day 1 Box Office Collection:
As of 3 pm on September 11, 2026, Haiwaan has grossed Rs 1.13 crore from 4,060 shows in India. The film managed to get 5.92% Hindi occupancy in the morning shows. The film’s gross collection in India is Rs 1.33 crore, trade tracker Sacnilk said.
The final box office collection of Haiwaan will be updated tomorrow i.e. 12 September 2026.
Haiwaan: Cast and Cameo Information
The film also features Saiyami Kher, Boman Irani and Shriya Pilgaonkar in key roles, along with Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan.In the movie, Akshay Kumar is seen as the dangerous villain Parashuram and Saif Ali Khan as a blind man Shyam Rane. The film also has a surprise cameo of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal who walks in toward the end. His appearance is a major turning point in development of the film’s plot.

An excerpt from the review reads, "Haiwaan is not a film where everything goes wrong." Saif Ali Khan’s performance, Akshay Kumar’s attempt at a different role, Priyadarshan’s command over the story, the cinematography and the stronger thriller portions in the second half are its biggest strengths. The film’s faults are a slow start, too long running time, editing that could have been tighter, a villain who is not always scary and songs that sometimes slow down the narrative.”
