TV actor and Bigg Boss 19 winner Gaurav Khanna has unfollowed Akanksha Chamola on Instagram, a day after she made the same move on the social media platform. Akanksha had also removed photos featuring Gaurav from her profile. The latest development has once again brought attention to the couple's relationship.
Gaurav and Akanksha have not issued a new public statement on the change in their social media activity. However, this has sparked a new discussion among fans and followers as both actors have unfollowed each other.
Gaurav Khanna unfollows Akanksha Chamola on Insta
Akanksha unfollowed Gaurav on Instagram yesterday and took down his pictures from her profile. Akanksha has also been unfollowed by Gaurav as of September 14, 2026. But he has not deleted any of the couple posts of the two. It’s a shift in their behavior on social media. Even after Akanksha had unfollowed him earlier, he had kept following her on Instagram till now. Akanksha’s photos were there too in his profile.
What Akanksha Chamola said on separation of them
Gaurav and Akanksha’s relationship came under the scanner when Akanksha participated in Lock Upp 2. On the reality show, Akanksha had said she and Gaurav had been living separately for around a year and were going to file for a divorce. It was a mutual decision and there is no bad feeling between us,” she said.
Akanksha also revealed how their priorities and desires had changed over the years. But they weren’t compatible as partners, she said. The two continued to talk. Later, Gaurav went to meet Akanksha during her stint in Lock Upp. They also talked about the public interest in their relationship and the speculation on their status.

Gaurav has not spoken officially about why he unfollowed Akanksha. He also hadn’t publicly commented on speculation about their relationship before the Instagram change.
Meanwhile Akanksha had deleted the photos with Gaurav from her profile before the unfollowing each other. It has also been reported that she is currently staying with her parents in Mumbai and will be moving to a new place.
