New Delhi:The Indian box office has been witnessing tough competition as several big-banner films are currently running in theatres, including Ram Charan's Peddi, Anurag Kashyap and Bobby Deol's Bandar, Varun Dhawan's Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, and the much-talked-about Hollywood film Obsession.
Saturday was a mixed bag at the box office with some films getting a weekend boost and others average collections. Peddi showed growth on its Day 3, making more than the previous day. Bandar also saw a slight growth. collections of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai declined. collections of Obsession fared better on its Day 9.

Peddi Third Day Box Office Collections
Day 3: Peddi and Ram Charan witnessed a weekend collection boost on Saturday, June 6, 2026. The film grossed Rs 28.85 crore in 9,019 shows in India. The film has registered an overall occupancy of 56.40% in Telugu. The night shows registered the highest occupancy of 68.31% followed by evening shows with 64.69%, afternoon shows with 59% and morning shows with 33.62%.
This takes the film's total net India collections to Rs 125.25 crore. The movie, meanwhile, has done well at the worldwide box office, minting Rs 150 crore-plus in two days. It has made Rs 191.07 crore globally, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.
Bandar box office collections Day 2
Day 2: Bandar collected Rs 95 lakh on 1,257 shows. Its Hindi occupancy overall (22.06%) was better than the previous week, with the highest occupancy coming in night shows at 29.54%, followed by 22.92% in the evening, 14.46% in the afternoon and the lowest at 5.46% in morning shows. The film has so far collected Rs 1.45 crore net in India in total.
Bobby Deol is also in the cast along with Saba Azad, Sapna Pabbi and Sanya Malhotra.
Hai Jawani Hai Ishq Saturday Box Office Collection
Varun Dhawan's romantic comedy drama Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, directed by his father-filmmaker David Dhawan, had a good start at the box office despite mixed reviews. The film opened at Rs 7.50 crore from 9,081 shows across India and on its Day 2, saw a slight dip on Saturday to manage Rs 7.25 crore from 8,813 shows.
The movie has earned Rs 14.75 crore in India so far and its worldwide gross collection is Rs 23.20 crore, as per Sacnilk.
Obsession box office collection
The Hollywood horror film Obsession has been the talk of the town since its release in Indian screens on May 29, 2026. The film, starring Inde Navarrette and Michael Johnston, saw its revenue grow on Day 9, Saturday, June 6, 2026. The film has made Rs 6.75 crore from 2,268 shows. With this, its total India net collection is now at Rs 28.65 crore.
Fans have been discussing the film on social media with its gripping storyline and the performances of the actors attracting a lot of attention. Written and directed by Curry Barker.
